@julia Yes, you’re right, the comments feature does not work for just any website. you have to be a .Mac or MobileMe subscriber for it to allow comments on your webpage. I just tried to allow comments and it gave me this:
“Note: the comments feature is only available when publishing your site to MobileMe.”

I cant insert photo comments, i have tried with the allow comments check box, but it doesnt work.
