Use MobileMe (.Mac) To Host Multiple iWeb Sites

In order to have MobileMe (me.com) host multiple domains you will need to have a basic understanding of how to use domain forwarding. I want to let everyone know upfront that this process may or may not be supported by apple, but it works very well.

For my example I will be using my domain registrar GoDaddy.com, your register may differ bit in the process but for the most part it will be the same.

For this walkthrough I am going to assume that you have not started anything. The first thing you will want to do is register your domains. As I have stated, I use Godaddy.com. If you want to [...]

REVIEW: Shades iPhone/iPod Case

The nice folks over at Shades sent us a box of assorted cases for all of the current generation iPods and the First Generation iPhone. I have put them on my iPhone and my parents' iPod Nanos. I also had my very picky brother put one on his iPhone to see what he thought.

Right out of the box I was glad to see that the makers of Shades did not ship me the case with a bunch of hard to open packaging. This is very important to me because when I get something and have a hard time getting it open it just frustrates me. The case is a bit hard to describe but I am going to give it my best shot.

Use MobileMe Push Email With Any Email Address

I have been searching for a way to make my google hosted e-mail to “push” via MobileME. I found this tip on Mac OSX Hints Page.

You can set up MobileMe to use any email address as a ‘push’ email on the iPhone. The first thing you need to do is set your non-MobileMe (.Mac) email address for auto-forward to your MobileMe (.Mac) account. When you create the email account, make sure you set it up as Other (not as a .Mac or MobileMe account.) Then select IMAP as the type of account. Enter the name and auto-forwarded email address. (This is the email address that will show as the [...]

Make Your iPhone an iPod Touch

If you are planning on upgrading from an iPhone 1.0 to the new iPhone 3G and have no clue what to do with your old iPhone AT&T has offered this tidbit that may help you to decide.

From Appleinsider

A spokesperson for the carrier confirmed to AppleInsider that neither AT&T nor Apple will prevent de-activated first-generation iPhones for serving as surrogate iPod touches."If the [original] device is not re-activated as a wireless phone after you’ve upgraded to iPhone 3G, it will still work as an iTunes player and can access Wi-Fi," the spokesperson said. That means old iPhones can [...]
